Méthos is a Paris-based research company that operates both for public organisations and private companies. They draw into anthropology and sociology, using ethnography and video, in order to better understand society. “We aim to show the purpose of ethnography in order to help people better understand themselves and to understand the modern world.” Our research and films help our clients to design new businesses, new services, spaces and products.

The Idea Méthos wants to take ethnography out of its academic fold and introduce / apply this discipline to the professional world.  They are a human-centered company, where they research and make movies for client to help them better understand the modern world, to develop new services, businesses or products.

Méthos’ identity is made out of nine different symbols where each one represents a particular ‘field’ typology. In ethnography, every project is immersive and therefore strongly bound to its environment.  With Méthos we developed an identity based on the nine different types of fields: the sacred, the myth, the knowledge, the space, the design, the future, the visual, the social and the strategy. This solution creates a distinctive and intriguing feel, where the set of symbol could be interpreted as an ancient language, conveying a romantic and mysterious dimension of the brand.
